I love ebooks. I very VERY rarely read print anymore, despite still having over 100 print books on my shelf.

BUT.

The other day my son’s girlfriend said she wanted to read Jurassic Park and I was pretty sure I had at least one copy. So I went to my book cabinet where I have my keepers and started pulling out books. As I did, I talked to my son and his girlfriend about memories I associated with each book. It made me a little sad–I won’t be able to relive the feelings of books with the files on my ereader.

I’m thinking this summer of going through those books and re-reading some. I still love my ereader, the instant gratification, the convenience, the huge font. But I love the memories, too.
